Michelle's 28-Day Juice Cleanse

Michelle is a regular at Ola who recently changed her life with a 28-day juice cleanse. We are happy to share her experience...

"I really dislike before and after pictures, mainly because of the embarrassing before shot. But when I was scrolling through old photos and saw some pictures not too long ago compared to those now, I had to share with my juice-lovin' friends and others who might need encouragement.

The photo on the left was taken a few days before I started a 28-day juice cleanse, in mid-August 2016. The other was taken 1-1/2 months after my cleanse, late October 2016... a cleanse which never really ended because I love the results of juicing so much. I think I lost about 25 lbs in 28 days. It wasn't my goal to lose weight (although I needed to). I just wanted to feel better, bottom line. And I do.

Someone asked me the other day if my program is sustainable. It's easy to see why someone would ask that... diets come and go, and weights yo-yo. I don't really know the answer to that question because I'm only four months in. But I can tell you with all certainty that if I go back to the way I ate before, I'm really selling myself short because I won't be feeling fantastic anymore. I want to feel fantastic. Life is hard enough on its own without punishing myself by eating the things that sound good, but will feel bad later.

I share this photo not to give props to myself, but to encourage others who might be struggling. Results are from eating lots of fruits and veggies and no supplements or harsh chemicals. And results are fast. Let me know if I can support you in feeling better!

It's amazing what food will do. It has the power to damage us if we let decade after decade go by eating whatever we want. But it also has the power to heal in relatively short order. YAY for nature!!
